1 year OLD!

encounter of the first and second kind

OK, so since we found out that we are battling our first bilateral ear infection as of today... let's think of some happier (well, kind of) times. Our FIRST encounter with Santa went well. Our second encounter with Santa went as follows:

See- these times were happier for Bobby, Santa and I. Maybe not happier for Daphne.

A girl's best friend

Daphne's all time best friend these days is her favorite monkey.

I give monkey's nose 6 more months before she officially bites it off from all of her kisses...

I printed these pictures off and now she not only loves monkey, but she loves the pictures of monkey. It's quite sweet, really.

breaking the silence

The silence from this blog was deafening! I am so sorry for the long delay. One would think that with not working and being around Daphne all the time for almost three weeks, I would have kept this updated... but alas, I guess I keep up with blogging when I'm on full steam- with work, school and life... SO- I vow to catch you up with an assault of Daphne pictures.

As you can expect, she is into everything these days and it is so fun. Walking has opened up her world!

I hope your holiday was wonderful. We had a wonderful holiday season and I would love to repeat it... but alas, real life has re-begun. At least I took a disgusting amount of pictures to relive the fun.

Daphne had a wonderful Christmas. As you can tell she is just a little blessed and a little happy about it.

With the snow outside this morning, I felt like you might need a warm and cozy picture.

See... she's SO BIG!

Actually, I love this hat because it makes her face look so chubby (which it is- and I love) but it's kind of like a face girdle- squeezing those cheeks together.

Personally, I think that clothes can't be too girlie at this stage. Hope you're keeping warm today!

successful santa?

Daphne got to see Santa and I think we need to call it a success.

There was a bit of indifference... a bit of disgust... a bit of annoyance...

No smiles... but also no tears. We consider this a major Santa success!

I think that she'll have to grow into her role as Santa's little helper.
