daddy's day

Today is Bobby's Birthday... and we made a project.

Or, we ate daddy's project...

She literally drooled orange for 10 minutes afterwards- and I swear I didn't let her eat the markers!

But, I think that it provoked a smile, even with a little drool.

under new management

Ok, the silence on my end is unforgivable... but let's pretend like it is, ok? I am so sorry for no pics of our growing gal, life has been steady and a bit crazy, but it's calming down now, so hopefully I can share some Daphne more often.

As for the title- Daphne is now my new Boss. I am going to be home with her during the week and I can hardly wait. I have taken a job working every other weekend, and can't wait to get time with her.

The one thing I know she'll be at a disadvantage for is exposure to other kids... then I remember that she has 7 cousins in town... and I think we'll manage!

I just LOVE that Charlie is trying not to smile and Calum and Jack both know they are suppose to and do it now... crazy how they grow up, isn't it??

And, she has her four girlfriends (cousins) to keep her in check. I'll be reporting to work every morning around 6:30 am and checking out around 7:30 pm. Can't wait!

Top Heavy

Our girl is one and it is time for her 1 year stats. I know you have been anxiously awaiting them!

She is 86.5% for height at 30.5 inches,

24 lbs 8 oz for weight (90%),

And... wait for it... > 97 % for OFC (49 cm). In layman's terms- she has a huge head. But, that just means more face to kiss... right? :-) Just try to tell me you don't want to kiss that face! At least, for one time in her life she can be top heavy. Even her mother is jealous.

Happy 1st Birthday!!

Our baby girl is 1! How did that happen??? It both flew by and felt like such a long time. There is that feeling of how did we live without her? She is such a pure treat to be around and we love to be with her! How can you not??? Just look at her face!

She is always so full of joy and character. I don't know how we made it before she was in our life. What a pure pleasure it has been to get to be her mommy.

For her first birthday, we let her let loose a bit. Well... actually, we just took awesome staged photos ;-)

1 year OLD!

encounter of the first and second kind

OK, so since we found out that we are battling our first bilateral ear infection as of today... let's think of some happier (well, kind of) times. Our FIRST encounter with Santa went well. Our second encounter with Santa went as follows:

See- these times were happier for Bobby, Santa and I. Maybe not happier for Daphne.

A girl's best friend

Daphne's all time best friend these days is her favorite monkey.

I give monkey's nose 6 more months before she officially bites it off from all of her kisses...

I printed these pictures off and now she not only loves monkey, but she loves the pictures of monkey. It's quite sweet, really.
